Day #79 Splatter Painting!

sara le rouxby Sara le Roux,  Owner and Inspirer at The Creation Station Penistone and District

Boo is already losing his steam this week and we are seeing typical behaviour of a tired, cranky pre-schooler.  It’s been a hectic week with Mummy working two ‘Arty Parties’ last weekend, the last week of our ‘Scrunchy, Crunchy, Bubbly Term’ and rehearsals for Boo’s Christmas concert – he’s not the only one who needs a nap!

I figured that today’s make should be messy, fun and above all fairly quick.  As much as I want to keep our challenge going, I don’t want to create a negative feeling about our creative times 🙂

What You’ll Need

  • Cardboard box
  • Elastic/rubber band
  • Paint – we used Crayola washable
  • Paper – cut so that it fits inside the box

Wrap your elastic/rubber bands around your box so that they are tight but not stretched too much.

Smear the elastic with paint and then let your little one loose!

Boo could not believe his eyes!

Fab activity – imagine the results if you used a really big box and loads of different colours!

Definitely one to repeat when Boo has more energy 🙂

Day #79 DONE! 21 to go!
